- Dr. Pamela Cantor, M.D. presented on how to fortify learning environments for students in low performing schools, especially those who have experienced and/or are experiencing trauma outside of school. She and her team have built a program that involves Instructional Coaches working directly with teachers and school building leaders. Her work can be explored further at www.turnaroundusa.org

Updates from March Board of Regents Meeting
Round-Table/District Updates
Dunkirk City Schools are sponsoring the "Power of Hope" on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Dunkirk High School Auditorium starting at 5 PM. Gabriel Bol Deng, one of the "Lost Boys" who helped rebuild Sudan is now engaging audiences in the power of hope. For more information visit their website.
The IES Team is hosting a March-madness style "Battle of the Books!" Regional teachers, administrators and students are helping to "judge" the battles and there are lots of classroom applications for those not directly participating! Be sure to check out the action all this month!
